Since 2018, GEM Health Care Consulting has been committed to educating and empowering skilled nursing and post-acute care facilities to improve outcomes and deliver exceptional quality care. Veronica is a dedicated nurse with over 20 years in the long-term care industry which included Director of Nursing Services, MDS, Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, and Consultant. She is a past president of the Ohio Association of Nurse Assessment Coordinators (OANAC).
While specializing in MDS, Reimbursement optimization and education, as well as Survey Management, her primary responsibilities include planning and implementation of critical industry-leading clinical programs assisting our clients toward regulatory compliance, implementation of best practices as well as cutting edge changes in the industry. Veronica has clinical experience in assisting facilities in resident care management, regulatory compliance, infection control, reimbursement, and overall management of nursing operations. Veronica is Board Certified in Geriatrics, Case Management, as well as a Board-Certified Nurse Executive. Being a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator along with her extensive clinical knowledge allows Veronica to bring a unique and dynamic perspective to assist her clients. Veronica is also a national speaker offering education for many organizations including the Ohio Health Care Association, Ohio Association of Nurse Assessment Coordinators, Texas Health Care Association, Care Providers of Oklahoma on topics related to Clinical Quality, Risk Management, and Reimbursement.
